Producers of Explanatory Videos
October 12th, 2009 | Posted by Andrew AngusThis weekend Tech Crunch posted a very interesting blog titled, “The Underutilized Power of the Video Demo…” The author writes about how much more effective the use of clear, explanatory videos are in explaining what a company actually does than a written description or the use of still images. The example he uses is the video from the Dropbox website, which is exactly the type of video we produce here at Switch Web Video.
What I found most interesting about the post was how many top-notch explanatory video producers it brought out of the “woodworks” in the comments section as one user encouraged. I have struggled to find people who do work similar to us, aside from those on the Common Craft Explainer Network, so it gave me the idea to put together a list of these producers to share.

Our Featured Video on Common Craft!!

Three years ago, when I first saw web videos by Common Craft, I thought they were incredible and this week we are featured on their blog for our $8,000 First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit video! Our membership on the Common Craft Explainer Network has increased our business drastically and we are very excited about their choice to blog about us!
You can download your free copy of this video and share it with others to teach them all about the tax credit. We can even customize the video for you to include your real estate URL and company name!
This was a fun project to work on and I’d like to congratulate Chris Dacol, our animator who brought the video to life and did an awesome job!
This video not only shows our style of work and quality of animation and illustration; it also takes some important and complex information and makes it simple, fun and easy to understand.
